Obama supports the bipartisan New Energy Reform Act. McCain opposes it.
The New Energy Reform Act has four basic components:
– Opens additional areas for drilling.
– Dedicates $20 billion to R&D on alternative fuels for motor vehicles.
– Creates tax incentives to save energy.
– Closes tax loopholes for big oil.
I guess if you can afford $520 Ferragamo shoes, you can afford to play politics with the energy crisis. I for one am glad Obama is looking for a real solution today!

Not only that, but he apparently thinks Hillary Clinton has an advantage in Kentucky because Arkansas is “in the same region” as Kentucky (Missouri and Tennessee lie between them), but he doesn’t know that his home state of Illinois actually borders Kentucky.
TRISTAN
If he is such an environmentalist, why did he help pass the Bush-Cheney energy bill? Actions speak louder than words….
NATHANIEL
Listen to the entire speech he meant to say 47 instead of 57. He said he had one more state to visit and wasn’t allowed to visit Hawaii and Alaska
BRANDEN
Your right
BERNARDO
When humans can combat earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis I’ll listen to the Environmentalists.
RORY
It’s a shame and you deserve better but it looks as if you’re stuck with that labotomised fossil McCain. Mind you we’ve got Gordon “Charisma” Brown. Happy days eh chaps?
DAREN
G’Obama GO, G’Obama GO! Yeaaaaah !!!!!
CYRUS
Obama doesn’t know how many states we have so how is he going to be President? If you count Fla & Mich, Hillary would be ahead. Last time I counted, we have 50 states not 48. He doesn’t sound like a great speaker to me!
GAVIN
We need renewable energy and the only candidate who is willing to make it happen is Obama.
Obama ‘08
Change for our future.
RICKIE
Gee interesting and they say Obama offers nothing but speeches it seems he has a solid lead over McCain when it comes to actual solutions to help the environment.
PAT

For you that have a problem with his skin.

Question for Obama: he says that illegal immigrants don’t take jobs from black people…which is true…but the 2nd, 3rd generations and so on do. I’m from the south and I’ve personally seen this many times. I’ve seen children of illegal immigrants go to black universities as well…this is not good for black americans. how does he plan to handle this?

No one talks about the fact you can get ten times the amount of ethanol out of hemp stalk than corn.
VINCENT
Good job! ethanol will be an excellent option for America.
MARLIN
It’s funny that Obama’s not talking about Clinton anymore. He’s moved on!! Go Obama!!!
OSCAR
Nice
LESLIE
As much as I like Obama he’s wrong on ethanol. Ethanol takes far more energy to produce than it returns, making it worse for the environment than even many nonrenewable options.
TODD
Barack thank you soo much for bringing up the issue of food based ethanol! That is not the way to go, because when we divert crops that go to feed people a few things happen 1) The price of food goes up 2) People find new land to grow food crops (i.e. the rain forest etc.) You have solidified to me why you are the best person for the job… you are willing to tell people what they NEED to hear, not what they WANT to hear! Obama 08!
